Like the period of Halloween, the celebration of Yule also was considered a liminal time, a period where the veil would be thin. Especially during the twelve days of Christmas, a period which had been added to the year prior to the Gregorian calendar. A period named in Eastern Europe as the “dead days”, or “Wolf Days”, as folklore dictated that to be born during this time, especially on Christmas day could increase your chances of transforming into a Werewolf.
