‘Le Secret Magique’ is from the ‘Le Grand Grimoire’ a book of black magic, which is claimed to be gathered from older sources by Antonio Venitiana Del Rabina. Del Rabina claimed the work to be from 1522. Published in 1845, the work deals with such magic as necromancy and gaining the ability to speak and make pacts with the dead; the work also instructs the reader in the Composition of Death, or the Philosopher's Stone.  The Philosopher’s Stone is the legendary alchemical substance said to be capable of turning base metals into gold, and the creation of an elixir of life, useful for rejuvenation and possibly for achieving immortality. It is supposed that Antonio Venitiana Del Rabina also composed ‘The Dragon Rouge’ the most famous of black magic grimoires. Del Rabina claimed that work to be from 1521.
